***NOTE*** Our policies are NOT up for debate, they are not up for asking the question 3 different ways to see if you can get the answer you want. You will get the same answers if you call us. These policies are put in place for many reasons - please respect them. We are not trying to be rude here, we just have a process that needs to be followed for operational, safety, and insurance reasons.
Simple! Just click on any one of the red buttons labeled “Check Availability and Pricing”. This will show you a list of the types of boats such as Luxury Yachts, Double-deck Pontoons w/ Slides, and Regular Pontoons. Select the type you desire to book, then select the boat by clicking the blue “Book” button. Here you can input the number of passengers, and select the date for your booking. You will see directly below the calendar if the boat is available on that date. If a boat says full or waitlisted, that means it is already booked. WE HIGHY RECOMMEND you review other boats in the fleet that will fit your needs if the boat you selected is currently booked. 2. The yachts is are big enough to accompany a good sized party of close friends. 17 to 24 people is the max we like to operate with… 3. Our yachts are 40ft in length (length of a school bus and 4 to 6 feet wider). They are 17k -26k pounds – they are heavy and stable on the water! 4. Our party boats are not a basic boat with a cheap undersized achor, little to no ropes or bumpers, etc. If you have rented a boat before on Lake Travis and have tried to tie up with the actual boat owners, you know alot of the time, they will not allow you to tie up if you do not have the proper equipment onboard. 5. You don’t have to do the driving, no worries about getting a BWI(boating while intoxicated). 6. Our boats are meticulously maintained and updated! Yes! 99% of our charters want to go to Devil’s Cove for their party. Unlike party barges, we ARE able to anchor in Devil’s Cove and put you right in the middle of the party! No silly string, glitter, jello shots, or red wine. These products stain the boat, and you will be charged a minimum of a $200.00 clean up fee. Do not bring DJ equipment on board. The electrical systems on yachts will not support the amperage and wattage draw of large DJ equipment. All our yachts are equipped with very loud stereo systems and are controlled via bluetooth from your phone or tablet. Do not bring crock pots that need to be plugged in. We run off of 12v power while out on the lake, not generator power. It’s so hot in the summer that your food will stay plenty warm in an unplugged crock pot or food tray. We do have refrigerators and coolers on board to keep items cool. The captain will accept Venmo, Paypal, or cash. ABSOLUTELY NO CHECKS! DO NOT SHORT OUR CAPTAINS!!!! If captains are shorted, it is in the contract that we will charge you credit card the difference, plus processing fees! Yes, all boats come with a captain! It’s mandatory in our business 🙂 All our captains are registered with the state as having Texas Boater’s Safety Course and/or/both Party Boat Operators! Make sure that the company you book with has registered captains, your safety relies on that! Yes! All our yachts have JL Audio and Polk Audio equipment on board. Each boat has 2000 watt stereo systems with subwoofers, and bluetooth connectivity. We also have usb plugins so that you can charge your phones or devices(usb cables not supplied). We can ONLY PICK UP AND DROP OFF AT PARADISE COVE MARINA at 17141 Rocky Ridge Road, Austin, TX 78734. WE CANNOT PICK UP AT ALTERNATE MARINAS, PRIVATE DOCKS, etc. No, you do not have the pay the full amount for your charter to book a party boat.We do require a deposit of $300.00-$400 depending on the boat to secure your booking.The deposit is applied to your total amount due for your charter.We can bill your card up to 21 days before for the total amount. But we rarely do that, because it’s no fun carrying a big balance on your Credit Card. You can use rideshare to get to and from the lake, but we highly recommend using a party bus company. Check out www.downtownpartybus.com for party bus availability. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Our boats are very expensive and will do not want damage from pet feces, claws, hair, chewing, etc! We do not allow pets of any species. The marina does not allow pets either. Inexperienced riders end up damaging the paint on the boats, then we have to charge for damages. You show up with a jetski rental in your party, your charter will end immediately. We will not let this slide due to safety concerns for our customers and the other patrons in the area. OUR POLICY IS OUR POLICY – Do NOT call us asking if your friend that owns one can bring one, we don’t care how experienced they say they are. We will not risk customers getting injured, or our boats damaged. We cannot supply them, and Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission requires EVERY bartender to be TABC certified to legally serve alcohol in the state of Texas. If you decided to have a bartender, it is up to you to locate them, and pay them. Also be aware, this person will be considered a passenger on the boat, and limit your capacity, if you have a full boat of friends and/or family. On our outboard engine driven party boats, that’s not too much concern. On our yachts it is a different story, and they drink an absorbent amount of fuel(gasoline). If you are looking to cruise all over Lake Travis, we recommend a self captained pontoon or ski boat. With Texas weather, we are lucky to have a long high season! Yes, we take care of removing the trash at the end of the charter. Be respectful of our yachtts and party boats – and keep it clean, put trash in the provided trash cans. Failure to keep the boat clean will result in a minimum $200 cleaning fee being charged to your card on file ALL OUR YACHTS HAVE PRIVATE RESTROOMS! Our party boats (pontoons, tritoons) DO NOT have restrooms. Yes, all passengers MUST sign a Release of Liability Waiver on the boat before departing, and the person booking the boat will have to sign a Damage Waiver that is automatically presented to them at the time of securing the booking online. If the boat is damaged, you are liable for the price of the parts, repair, plus $100.00. If your party trashes the boat, you are subject to a $200 clean up fee, so respect our business and our property. *** NOTE *** Also, parent/legal guardian signing for minors under the age of 18, are responsible for safety adherence and damages incurred by minors they have signed for. Yes! All boats are supplied with life jackets for all adults. We do not have life jackets on board for children or infants, and those need to be supplied by the parent, and they need to properly fit! All boats are supplied with a Lilly Pad and noodles for all passengers! ***NOTE*** Life vest rules are not only company policy, but also state law. CAPTAIN IS NOT A LIFE GUARD! SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK! You will get your money back, minus the deposit. There is a lot of time that goes into prepping these yachts and party boats before a charter on a weekly basis, so we cannot afford to refund the deposit. If for some reason a charter is cancelled due to weather, if you split the deposit costs between all members of your party, you are only out roughly $15-$20 per head. If we have lightning, heavy rains, or dangerous winds, the captain will cancel the charter (CAPTAIN MAKES THE CALL ON WEATHER, NOT THE CUSTOMER). If there is a light sprinkle, the boat will still go out on the charter. If the weather starts out nice, then we run into in-climate weather, we will bring the boat back in early, and you will only be charged for the time you were out. Captain makes the call on the weather, not the customer! Austin’s weather is much different than any other part of the country…for example, a large cell could be coming up from the Gulf of Mexico, and would have extremely heavy rains hit Houston. When the cell makes it’s way up to Austin, because we are in the hill county, the cell will break up and hit different parts of Austin and surrounding areas. We can get heavy rains in downtown Austin, and it will not hit Lake Travis, or vise-versa… As it passed through Austin, it many times reorganizes itself, and hammers Dallas, just as it does Houston. Even if we have a 70-90% chance of rain, it is not a gaurentee that we will get it, or it will be short bursts like what you see in Florida, and things are back to normal in 15 minutes. AGAIN, WE CALL IT ON THE WEATHER! LAST SECOND CANCELLATIONS BY THE CUSTOMER WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL BALANCE ON THE BOAT. Absolutely! But you will not need them! We supply the boats with tons of life jackets, noodles, as well as a Lilly Pad! 🙂 We do have an electric inflator available on each boat for floats, but again(to be honest), it’s a pain in the ass for you to have to inflate or deflate them at the end of your charter even with an electric pump. 😉 NO, AND THE REASONS ARE SIMPLE! – READ MORE!!!! Having a grill on board a boat is an open invitation for cockroaches to come infest the boat(cockroaches love water environments, so most marinas have cockroach issues). 60 cockroaches can live off the glue on a cereal box top for up to 6 months, so imagine what a greasy grill will supply them with… and then you have captains cooking on that same grill – you get the picture! GROSS! Also, if the boat is infested, your personal belongings can get infested, and then you drag that home. There have been numerous instances where customers have gotten food poisoning on our competitor’s boats cooking on dirty grills, and we want no part of that. Austin is a high-tech city, where you can get just about any type of food and alcohol delivered right to your AirBnB, or hotel. You can then bring out fresh, great local food out and put it in a refrigerator on our yachts, or in a cooler on our party boats. Our competitors will supply cheap burgers and buns, and why would you want to eat that when Austin is well-known for it’s great food? You can find Austin listed all over the Food Network. To order food from around the city, we recommend mobile apps such as Favor, Uber Eats, Grub Hub, etc. For alcohol, use Drizly. Yes! 🙂 Our yachts have refrigerators on board(they are limited in size because they are boat refrigerators), plus huge coolers. Please review “Our Fleet” page to get into the specifics of each boat. Yes, you can bring whatever alcohol you like on board, even liquor bottles! Unfortunately, we cannot supply liquor, beer, wine under strict laws put in place by the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission. Our ship stores at different marinas do carry some beer choices, and even some wine, but selections are limited and not guaranteed availability. Most of our customers pick up alcohol ahead of time and load it in their Uber/Lyft or party bus, and some even have alcohol delivered right to their AirBnB or hotel ahead of time via Drizly mobile app.Ice you can buy right at the dock stores, so no need to lug it along on your trip out to the lake. 🙂 Deposits and charter amount due are non-refundable within 3 weeks of your charter. Unfortunately we have no control over the weather, and we do our best to reschedule you for another time if it works with your schedule. All of the other companies have a similar policy, if not a more expensive deposit than we do. No cancellations within 21 days of the charter. Credit card will be billed in full for charter and the captain service fee. No! None of the boat rental companies supply towels. Reason being is that we would literally have a couple hundred towels to wash on a weekly basis, which would force us to raise prices significantly to you the customer. All of our boats are now located at Paradise Cove Marina – 17141 Rocky Ridge Road, Austin, TX 78734 If you are coming by car and parking, it’s $15.00 per car, $20 parking for buses. WE DO NOT PICK UP FROM PRIVATE DOCKS, OTHER MARINAS, OR ALTERNATE LOCATIONS – DO NOT CALL US TO ASK THIS QUESTION, WE ARE SLAMMED WITH EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS! Yes, please click on RED Booking buttons throughout the website. PLEASE check online before calling us. The online booking system is real-time, and up-to-date on availability! Calling or emailing us will have a delay, and you may miss out on your available booking. Not usually on weekends, unless it’s off season. We book solid from early March through end October from Thursday-Sunday. Adjusting schedules on those days would cause cancellations, and mess up our schedule. The allotted time between the charters is for the captain to be able to get customers off the boat, the boat cleaned and ready for you to board. Other companies on the lake run their charters back to back, so while you are waiting to board, the captain is shuffling off the last party and cleaning up after them before you board, and you loose time on the water. CALL US FOR CUSTOM ITINERARIES!!!! No, unfortunately we cannot run a business, and stay afloat if we allowed people to cancel for any little reason. If someone in your party is not feeling well, have them stay behind. We are a small business, not a major retailer, etc with infinitely deep pockets. We have a limited season, and tons of carrying costs in the off season. Please respect why we need to operate in this manner. Ofcourse! BUT, just remember you need to be seated while the boat is under way – NO EXCEPTIONS! We tell our customers to grab a refreshement, then grab a seat before the boat gets moving. We have this rule in place for YOUR SAFETY! These boats have huge props, if you fall overboard, you will come in contact with these props and either be severly injured, maimed, or even death will occur. Also, there are FOUR policing associations on Lake Travis – if you are caught on your feet while the boat is under way, you will received a fine of up to $400 from the autorities. Also, DO NOT hang your feet out over the edge of the boat while it is under way, it’s easy to slip off the boat in that manner, and again – if caught, you will receive a hefty fine from the authorities. No. Hippy Hollow is VERY deep water, and is a forest of trees at the bottom. The boats have to anchor in order to create the line, and anchors, anchor line, or anchor chain get tangled up in the trees, and we cannot retrieve them due to the depth being past the limits of scuba divers. Anchors, and the associated equipment are VERY expensive to replace, often times exceeding the price of the charter. We also cannot easily replace the equipment, due to the chain or ropes having to be special ordered, or a special trip needs to be taken down to the Texas coast to buy replacement gear. No, this isn’t a cash run business where we have employees or an office to collect this. Your boat payment is done online, with a credit card. You 20% mandatory captain service fee can be paid to the captain in cash in person, but they prefer the use of apps, such as Venmo, etc.
